Help me to improve Cyber Builders
Reflecting on Cyber Builders and Launching Cyber Builders Reader Survey for Q2 2024.
Hello Cyber Builders đ
As a Substack writer, I value feedback from readers. Your insights and opinions can help me better understand what resonates with you as a reader and what areas may need improvement. By completing a quick reader survey for Cyber Builders, you'll be providing me with the information I need to continue creating engaging and relevant content.
It is only five questions you can answer in a few minutes.
What I learn previously
I am writing on Cyber Builders for almost 15 months now and I got a lot of feedback already. I am chatting with readers, my Linkedin connections are sending me kind message or repost my publication.
What strikes me the most is:
I have half people saying âLaurent, your content is too long ; I donât have time to read all this and I would prefer shorter bitesâ and the other half âLaurent, I love your content and deep dive on X or Yâ.
Most people looks for post where I am âdecryptingâ a particular topic and making sense of a cybersecurity issue via use cases and schemas.
Most cybersecurity writer are US-based and we are only an handful of person to write from Europe, with I guess, a different view on the ecosystem.
I have a very diverse reader base:
From the US, from Europe, From India
People in the cybersecurity industry and people who are not
People doing product or startups (e.g product managers, founders, VC) but also people looking at the tech trends (e.g service provider, consultants, engineers)
In the latest survey, my Net Promoter Score was 8.5, which is I assume pretty good.
What I want to know
I am launching this Q2 2024 survey, to know more about you and your expectations. It will help me write more focused content.
What Iâd like to know is:
Should I stick to long-form and probably deliver better content twice a month? It could be series on a particular issue. I have done for example, a series on why threat detection is hard and how AI will / wonât solve it in January 2024.
Should I move to shorter-form sharing tiny bits every week?
What are the top-of-mind topic youâd like me to write about? It was AI and Cyber since a year. I also wrote about VC and Investment trends, Product Building, EU Startups Ecosystem, etc..
The only topic I donât feel the need to write about is to do yet another weekly news review on the cybersecurity industry. Some other writer already provide great weekly review and podcast.
Your feedback will contribute to the improvement of Cyber Builders and guide me in producing high-quality content that meets your needs and interests. I value your input and see it as an essential part of my writing process.
Thank you in advance for your time and for being an integral part of the Cyber Builders community.
